Things To Do

The festival calendar is packed full of more than 30 events to keep you busy for 9 days, but you should also take the chance to explore some of the unique local experiences.

We always recommend taking a few tours. Most of the tour companies are run by local families with a great knowledge of the region and the local culture, so they are great value. To get a sense of this vast land, aerial tours are a must and, if you have the time, fly out to one of the remote inland or coastal camps for a few days. There are also some wonderful owned and operated Aboriginal art galleries, tours and accommodation, giving you the chance for a meaningful engagement with the longest running continuous culture in the world.
