Things to do

With this year’s festival calendar already packed with more than 30 events across 10 exciting days, there is no shortage of things to do! But we highly recommend checking out some of these bucket list experiences from our incredible local operators.

You’ll find most of the tour companies are run by local families with a great knowledge of the region and the local culture, giving you that authentic local touch.

To get a sense of this vast land, aerial tours are a must and, if you have the time, fly out to one of the remote inland or coastal camps for a few days. There are also some wonderful owned and operated Aboriginal art galleries, tours and accommodation, giving you the chance for a meaningful engagement with the longest running continuous culture in the world.

For over 30 years, Triple J Tours has taken East Kimberley visitors on the ride of their lives across the majestic Ord River. An unparalleled river cruise experience, Triple J is the only cruise operator to take you the full 55km, all the way from Diversion Dam near Kununurra to the Ord Top Dam.
